-My besties Cathy and Ryanne and muah! I finally remembered to bring my camera.-
Girls night was entertaining and lots of laughs, as always. We always have a good time together. We started the evening out at our favorite hangout, Theo's. We had a few beers, I had the usual Budweiser. We socialized with the regulars, barmaids and Ryanne's brother for a bit. Then we decided to go grab a bite at El Rancho Grande.
Personally, I prefer eating before drinking. I had a nice little buzz going, but my taco salad -which was way too salty!- killed it and once it's gone, it takes forever to get it back. I can get it back, but it would require lots of alcohol and that would just lead to a massive hangover in the morning and having my head in the toilet all night. That is never fun!
After we grubbed we headed back to Theo's -it's not far from the restaurant-, but look what we spotted sitting in El Rancho's parking lot...
-You gotta love this ride with the bullet hole stickers. This was a very amusing part of the night.-
Anyway, we went back to Theo's, had a few more drinks, met up with our friend Dave and then we went to another bar. At that point, I was really frustrated. I developed a headache and I was just too full! I was not feelin' it. I was also getting tired, but I was a trooper.
I got another Budweiser and still nothin'! That was my 5th, I think. I nursed that one, I was just way too full!
Then our friend Chris, the bartender, hooked us up with a really yummy shot. It was a watermelon Jolly Rancher -OMG- it was so delicious!
He also gave us each a different flavor -blue raspberry- also very yummy!
I kid you not, this guy makes the best shots! You gotta be careful with those though. You can't taste the alcohol, so you might be tempted to keep drinking them -I imagine they will get you pretty drunk-.
Finally, I started feelin good again and the shots actually cured my headache, but by then it was time to go home. Go figure!
I slept like a baby. As soon as my head hit the pillow I was out, like a light. I woke up this morning at about 6:30-ish and I felt pretty good. I was really tired and was still feeling a little tipsy, but no hangover.
It's 2:12 PM, I am exhausted and there appears to be a little bit of a hangover. I don't know if it's that or if I'm just tired from being out late.
All and all, it was a good night, it just sucks that my buzz took so long to come back. Had it not been for the headacheit would have been much more enjoyable.
-To my girls-
I have a suggestion. From now on how about we grub first and then get our drinks on?
So, what did you all do for TGIF?
